About

As a professional German translator based in Portland, Oregon, I offer boutique translating and interpreting services to small and medium sized companies, translation agencies as well as individuals.

I was born and raised in Germany and hold a translation and interpretation degree from the Institute for Foreign Languages at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. 

Technical, marketing and business communication translation are my main focus when working with corporate clients. 

Private clients contact me for getting their personal documents translated and certified for official purposes. I am one of only a few US-based German native speakers listed on the website of the German Embassy in San Francisco to have a German court certification as well as a certification through the American Translators Association (ATA). 

Due to the fact that I call the United States home for 20 years now, I possess a multicultural background and a deep understanding of the American culture which greatly benefits my work product.

In addition to my work as a freelancer, I support the local translation and interpretation industry as an active member of the Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters – a non-profit organization for which I have served several years on the Board of Directors and as the Membership Committee Chairperson.
